Donation to ARTMA Event
Friday, 08 January 2010 19:42

This painting was recently donated to the ARTMA Organization to be included in their fundraiser for the Morgan Foundation on Saturday, February 6th, 2010. Tickets to the event are available from www.artmaonline.org.

The framed donated piece was designed from an original en plein air study, painted Thanksgiving 2008 in Grand Teton National Park. From the plein air, the oil on panel painting was developed.  It is approximately 16x20 inched unframed. By the way, the temperature outside was a balmy 14°F.

The painting I am currently working on is rather large for me; 24x30. It is a summer day, along the Snake River, in Wyoming.

An Award Winner in Estes Park

This oil painting won the People's Choice Award at the Women's History Month Art Show, 2007; Cultural Arts Council Estes Park, Colorado.  The oil painting was created after finishing a few days backpack on a trail going to Lake Solitude, also in Grand Teton National Park. For sure, misquitoes  were following us en mass, as we trekked along. But the beauty is what captured most of our memories. This painting is not available for sale - but, please contact Jenny, if you have an interest in her style and subject matter.
